Children learn through play and thrive on positive feedback in nurturing environments. Our exceptional ELC team, delivers Early Learning Centre programs that ensure fun, exploration and milestone achieving environments. The work of our ELCs is critical to advancing the development of the children we support. The YMCA of Regina follows a particular YMCA Playing to Learn Curriculum, an interest and play based way of teaching. The Playing to Learn Curriculum allows children freedom to learn at their own pace, gain valuable skills and reach developmental milestones all while playing. Responsibilities:Aware of and uphold Ministry of Education childcare regulations while fostering teamwork.Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children ages 3-5 years old, to learn and explore.Engage and encourage children through the implementation of the YMCAs Playing to Learn Curriculum.Maintains a clean and healthy workplace according to public health and YMCA standards.Demonstrates a commitment to working in partnership with parents, families, stakeholders and team members. Job Requirements:Early Childhood Education Level I-III Certification, an asset but not requiredMinimum 2 years experience working in a structured childcare environment, an asset.Ability to work a 30-hour work week, during school hours of 8:15am-3:30pmCriminal Record Check (original) with vulnerable sector check prior to first day of work and dated no more than 3 months before hire dateCurrent CPR and First Aid upon start dateKnowledge of French language an asset
