WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? * Competitive hourly wage of $24.53 + comprehensive benefits * We will invest in you, covering the costs of continuing education through GardaWorld Academy * Flexible schedules with various shifts available * Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld * Casual opportunities * Uniform provided at no cost RESPONSIBILITIES OF A CASUAL TRANSPORT GUARD * Ensure the protection of individuals, property, and assets within the facility * Escort detainees within the premises using restraints as necessary for safety * Demonstrate empathy and compassion while working with individuals under stress * Observe and monitor detainee behaviour and report concerns * Conduct regular foot patrols – both indoors and outdoors * Utilize security software and equipment effectively * Conduct frequent wellness checks * Generate accurate incident and daily reports * Respond swiftly to emergency situations using tactical de-escalation techniques QUALIFICATIONS FOR CASUAL TRANSPORT GUARD * Valid Alberta Security Guard License * Valid First Aid Level 1 is required. * Must have resided in Canada for the past 5 years- needed for reliability clearances * Must be able to drive compnay vehicle for long hours. * Have Clean driver's Abstract. * Minimum High school diploma or equivalent (proof of education required) * Able to pass Public Works Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check * Demonstrated ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations * Strong communication and customer service skills Not the job for you?
