Certified Teacher – English 40S Comprehensive Location: MITT ALC St Norbert Campus Days/Hours: Tuesday and Thursday from1:00 pm - 4:00 pm (0.125 FTE) MITT is hiring a Certified Teacher for the English 40S Comprehensive course. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Teaching the curriculum prescribed or approved by the minister. * Providing an effective classroom learning environment. * Maintaining order and discipline among pupils attending or participating in activities that are sponsored or approved by the school, whether inside or outside the school. * Advising pupils as to what is expected of them in school, reviewing their assessments with them, and evaluating their progress and reporting on that progress. * Administering and marking any assessment of pupil performance that the minister may direct, in the manner that the minister directs. * Ongoing professional development. Required Qualifications and Experience: * Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate. * Previous Grade 11/12 English teaching experience. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: * Experience teaching in a blended learning environment. * Experience with Brightspace Learning Management System. * Experience teaching in an adult setting. Salary is in accordance with the Collective Agreement. An eligibility list may be created for similar positions. The teacher is responsible for delivering the English 40S Comprehensive curriculum and maintaining an effective, disciplined classroom environment. They must also evaluate student progress, provide feedback, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Candidates must hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate and have previous experience teaching Grade 11/12 English. Experience with adult learners and blended learning environments using the Brightspace LMS is preferred.
