This is a Casual (ON-CALL) position to pick up shifts when we are short-staffed. We are looking for someone who would be able to pick up an 11:00am-7:00pm shift any day of the week. As a Server, you will support residents’ health and well-being by assisting with meal preparation and service, ensuring a safe, clean, and pleasant dining experience every day. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day. What makes you a great fit? * Responsible for all aspects of hospitality style dining service utilizing the Ready, Set, Serve Program as it applies to the serving areas, setting, serving and cleaning tables; * Practices and maintains established standards for cleanliness and sanitation throughout all aspects of food preparation and service as required by the health department; * Promotes and tracks a la carte and wine service sales in accordance with prescribed procedures; * Assists with the preparation and presentation of food under the direction of the Chef; * Complies with all provincial regulations, established food and beverage department policies and procedures and ORCA standards to ensure the department is tour ready; * Participates in drills to prepare for emergencies and attends all education sessions in relation to emergency preparedness. * Work in accordance with the organization’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act What you need to know: * Basic Serving experience is required; * Must have Serve it Right Certificate, or willing to obtain within 30 days; * Must have Food Safe Certificate, or willing to obtain within 30 days; * Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team; * Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process an asset; * Proven customer service skills to work with residents of various cultural backgrounds * Effective verbal and written English communication skills required * You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit * You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check * Sienna Senior Living may utilize artificial Intelligence to screen or assess applicants for this position Sienna Senior Living is committed to employment equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace. The server is responsible for assisting with meal preparation and providing hospitality-style dining service to residents. They must maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards while contributing to a positive and safe environment for seniors.

Candidates must have basic serving experience and possess or be willing to obtain Serve it Right and Food Safe certificates. A successful Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check are mandatory for this role.
